Unforgettable Moments in Lima, Peru

Hello, all *.^
Hola !!!

It's been so long time, more than 3 months, this blog was inactive.
I am very apologize abou it, since so many businesses that must be solved
starting from my daily life, my family, my office, my friend circles,
and of course my international linkages (persons, organizations, and etc).

Continue from previous post about my trip to PERU
regarding my participation on the 7th General Assembly of
the World Movement for Democracy sponsored by the Hurford Foundation,
I want to share so many unforgettable moments in Lima, Peru.

PERU welcoming me with their warmest attitude, although I dislike about almost 20 minutes
checking on immigration counter at Jorge Chavez International Airport. Long queque >.<

Lima is the first city I have been visited in Latin America and I was amazed with it.
Before arrived there, I was blank and could not describe what the attractions in that city,
but after I being there and feel it, LIMA is one of world's most lovable cities.
Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) and Parque de La Reserva are two of my favorites.
Many parks around the cities, public area also safe and secured,
I only dislike some drivers that drives ugly their cars or bikes, sometimes impolite.

So many historical buildings and houses still looking good and well taken care of.
Two thumbs up for Peruvian government and Lima mayor, Mrs. Susana Villaran...great jobs !!!

The togetherness and unity among democracy and human rights activists that comes from
around the globe gathered here. I got new linkages and networkings in order to make
mutual sharing and cooperation with them.. Very friendly and warm in that photo. Love you, all *.^

Amsterdam, The Netherlands is the only transit point for me to get to and back from Lima.
Schiphol is very nice and comfort European airport. Not too crowded as in Heathrow or Frankfurt.
Many shopping counters selling VAT free European goods such parfumes, chocolates, delicacies,
and of course flower seeds. I also bought most of them, so cheap compared to selling price in Indonesia.
Fortunately, I can bring it unto cabin and not charged as extra luggage, thanks God *.^

I am so happy to experienced it.
I also being proud of myself than being the only young representative from Indonesia
to give presentations both in the one of WMD session and in Embajada de la Republica en Indonesie.

# Only God that could make it possible ^.^

GRACIAS

First day in Lima - Peru

When I was arrived in Jorge Chavez International Airport, Callao-Peru,
it is great and I can only said that it was only by "HIS GRACE".
Imagined that I would not be able to pass >30hrs flight trip,
in the fact I could passed it of course with painful pressure on my ears
because I was getting influenza at the day I have to depart.
But never mind about it, God know the best for me.

The crew from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Lima-Peru
has warmly welcomed us last night.
They pick us up from the airport to the hotel
with smiling face and warm talks about the conditions of Lima
and Peru in general.
After checked in hotel, we were getting dinner at Miraflores district,
the main district of millions fun and attractions in Lima.
Larco Mar, that's the name.
Chica Morada, the sweetest welcoming drink we get at that moment.

Then we have dinner together with huge enthusiasm and passion,

even though it has to be called "late night dinner" since it was 21.30, haha..
Back to our room in 23.00 was the time to relax our whole body and mind
to prepare for the tomorrow first session of
the 7th General Assembly of the World Movement for Democracy
at Swissotel Lima - Peru.

The first day in Lima, 13 October was very exciting.
Thanks, Lord.

Wait for me, PERU...

By HIS amazing grace,
I will be able to attend
one of world's largest forum on demcoracy,
The 7th General Assembly of
the World Movement of Democracy.
Also thanks to the WMD Team
(Mr. Kaufman, Ms. Dana, Ms. Ishraga, Mr. Chris, and so on)
for their quick responses and assistances.

Now, I am still preparing all things that
I have to bring there, very very hectic actually.

The flight trip from Jakarta to Lima
will be the longest I have ever had in my life,
it spend more than 30 hours (including transit time).
From East to the West, from Southeast Asia to South America,
I will passing the area of more than 15 countries, 5 regions,
3 continents, and 2 ocean (Indian and Atlantic).
It will be a new experience for me.

Well, as youth from "The emerging star from Asia - INDONESIA",
I have to participate actively and contribute positively
for the success of this event.
On behalf of INVOTE, I have to show that
youth from developing country such Indonesia
also could give deep analysis about democracy.

Promoting the values of democracy and human rights,
sharing experiences and opinions,
expanding the networkings globally,
and cooperate and collaborate intensively
with the other civil societies from any countries.

Peru also the emerging star from South America besides Brazil,
its level on national development is fast and good.
The landscape of Peru is the most beautiful amongst
their neighborhood countries.

Wait for me Peru,
I will be arrived in Lima on 13 October, evening...

Warmest regards from INDONESIA,
